Koma
These wooden tools are traditionally used in Japanese embroidery, they hold the thread while you couch. You wrap the thread you need around the Koma and place on your work or hold in your none sewing hand and feed the thread to be sewn giving you more control with the thread. These are a very popular and useful tool and they come in a pair.
