This is your complete goldwork embroidery needle pack, with all the needles that you would need to complete your goldwork project. All needles are also available separately.

To avoid confusion we prefer to name the needle for the purposes needed rather than just the size.

The history of needles.

The first ever needles were made of flint and then bone which could be made a lot smaller than flint.

The oldest iron sewing needle was found in Germany dating back to 300 B.C. But the Egyptians made then from silver, copper and bronze before this. Needle making came over to England in around the 17th Century and it was a small cottage industry, run by families and the majority of these needle makers were in the town of Redditch.

Although the cottage industry of needle making has gone, our needles are still manufactured in the UK.
