Metallic Skin Leather
Our Leather is ideal for sewing with, it can be padded using a wadding or felt for a 3d look, or laid flat. The leather is fine and malleable, which makes it suitable for hand sewing. As it is malleable the leather is ideal for going over padding.
The use of leather gives texture and variety to any piece of work.
The full skin size is approximately between 13-15 sq ft this is dependant on the animal, All skins whether 1/4 half or full are on request.
Leather is a natural product, it will not have straight edges (apart from where we cut the leather in half or 1/4) there may also be faults in the leather due to it being a natural product this is something that we have no control over and is to do with the initial manufacturing stage.
Needles to use with Leather
We would recommend a Leather Needle for sewing leather. Alternatively a Goldwork Needles Pack has all the needles needed for any Goldwork Project.
