History of Goldwork and Illuminated letters

Goldwork Embroidery Retreats – We are delighted to be able to offer residential courses at our chosen venue which is Foxhill House and Gardens, this beautiful house is located in the Cheshire countryside set within 70 acres of mature woodland and lawns, on the outskirts of the lovely village of Frodsham. You can see a bit more about the history of the house below.
Our History of Goldwork and Illuminated letters course will take you through the history of Goldwork, giving you an insight on what it was used for and changes throughout time as well as the history. As well as learning about the history we will be completing our Illuminated letters designs, these will not only teach you some of the main techniques but you will take home what may become a beautiful heirloom.
A pack for the illuminated letter of your choice, will be available to purchase, you will be able to choose the colours you want to work with, so the cost is selection dependent.
All residential’s include accommodation at Foxhill house, which is generally a on suite bedroom for one. Occasionally we will have other options available.
Cost includes all accommodation and meals as follows:
Breakfast includes cereals, fruit, toast, or full-cooked English breakfast.
Morning Coffee (or a variety of teas, Coffee or juice) comes with a selection of biscuits.
Lunch is served as a buffet, hot or cold.
Afternoon Tea (a variety of teas, or coffee, or juice) is served with biscuits.
Dinner is a three-course meal, hot or cold.

Cancellation policy
If for any reason you wish to cancel the following refund policy would apply,
Within 1 month of event – no refund
up to 3 months prior to event 25% refund
up to 6 months prior to event 50% refund
6 months or more 75% refund
