An Introduction to Medieval Manuscript Illumination – 2 day course with Toni Watts
9th and 10th June 2022
Toni is one of the few remaining professional Illuminators in the UK. She is also an artist and art tutor. Toni’s work both in Illumination and her wildlife art work really caught our eye and we are delighted that we have been able to book her to hold a 2 day course with us here at Golden Hinde to teach us how to create an illuminated letter using 23 carat gold leaf’
This is a unique opportunity to learn a dying craft, this course will be held over 2 full days (you will need to attend and commit to both days)
The classes will be held at our studio in Warrington Cheshire, we are close to the town centre and if you are a distance away then there are plenty of hotels close by including Premier inn’s, Travel lodges and higher class hotels. The course time will be 10-4 each day.

We require full payment at time of booking to secure your place. 15% of the cost of the class will be classed as a non-refundable deposit. we will offer as an alternative course as an option but an administration fee of £10 would be applied, plus any additional costs that may need to be paid. If the alternative course is cheaper we will refund the difference minus the administration fee.
